Jersey Juniors - Making History Now!

International Affairs

Hi, my name is Linda Smolen, your new International Affairs Chairman.  I am a member of the Rutherford Junior Women's Club.  I have served as Home Life Chair and International Chair in the last five years that I have been a member of  Juniors.  I am very excited about providing you with great project ideas.  One of my goals is to have every club work with UNICEF this year.  I look forward to any input you might have as I realize that there are many great international charities out there that I might not know about.   You may contact me at International@jerseyjuniors.com with any questions or suggestions you may have.  Enjoy your summer!

International Dinners

For easy and social International Affairs projects, consider having an International Dinner every other month - go out to a different ethnic restaurant to expand your pallet and cultural knowledge! Also, if your club holds playgroups have the hostess make foods from her ethnic background. For the kids - go to
http://www.gameskidsplay.net/ and look in the international section for common children's games from foreign countries!
