A New Club

Ten Easy Steps 

The following are the most important steps necessary in forming a new club.  The page numbers referenced after each step can be found in the How to Build New GFWC Clubs publication.  Additionally, Steps 1, 2 and 7 are expanded upon and information specific to NJ has been added.  They can be found in the pages that immediately follow this one.

STEP 1.  Form a New Club Team   (pages 2-4)

STEP 2.  Identify target communities & community contacts   (pages 6-7)

STEP 3.  Secure site, day & time for first meeting   (page 9)

STEP 4.  Develop & distribute flyer announcing 1st meeting  (page 8)

STEP 5.  Prepare invitation list & mail invitations  (pages 8 & 11)

STEP 6.  Determine facilitator for meeting, and draft agenda  (pages 11-14)

STEP 7.  Secure informational materials & prepare a display   (pages 9 & 11)

STEP 8.  Plan & secure refreshments (page 12)

STEP 9.  Make sure all equipment is in working order (page 11)
